Project Estimator - Joinery & Fit-Out

Role Overview

We’re looking for a sharp, fast-thinking Project Estimator who can take a sketch, mockup, or drawing and turn it into a clear, accurate, and profitable quotation, quickly.

Key Responsibilities Estimation & Costing

• Analyze sketches, concept designs, shop drawings, and BOQs to determine project scope
• Prepare detailed material take-offs (MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, hardware, finishes, etc.)
• Calculate accurate costs based on current UAE market rates for materials, labor, and subcontracting
• Factor in production time, installation requirements, and site conditions

Quotation Management

• Prepare and deliver fast, accurate, and professional quotations
• Ensure all quotes are commercially competitive while maintaining margins
• Revise quotations quickly based on client feedback or design changes
• Work closely with sales to improve win rates through smarter pricing

Supplier & Market Coordination

• Source up-to-date pricing from suppliers and vendors
• Build and maintain a reliable supplier network for competitive rates
• Stay updated on market fluctuations in materials and labor costs

Technical Coordination

• Interpret drawings and identify missing details or potential costing risks
• Coordinate with production and site teams to validate feasibility
• Highlight cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality

Requirements

• 3+ years experience as an estimator in joinery, fit-out, or carpentry works
• Strong understanding of:
• Joinery materials and finishes
• Manufacturing processes and installation methods
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and sketches
• Proven experience in material take-offs and cost estimation
• Strong proficiency in Excel (fast and accurate)
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver quotations quickly without errors

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
