About Dovin Landworks

Dovin Landworks LLC is a growing commercial civil/sitework contractor based in Wellington, Ohio. We specialize in commercial site excavation, grading, underground utilities, storm and sanitary sewer, waterline, and related sitework throughout Northeast Ohio.

We are looking for an experienced Project Estimator to join our team and play an important role in preparing accurate, competitive bids and helping move projects from the bidding stage into production.

What You’ll Do

• Review project plans, specifications, bid documents, and scopes of work
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for excavation, grading, utilities, concrete/sitework, and related scopes
• Prepare accurate material, labor, equipment, trucking, subcontractor, and other project cost estimates
• Solicit and compare pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors
• Identify project requirements, exclusions, potential conflicts, and scope gaps
• Prepare complete and competitive bid proposals
• Track upcoming bid opportunities and bid deadlines
• Communicate with general contractors, owners, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding project scope and pricing
• Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks when necessary
• Assist with change-order pricing and project cost analysis
• Maintain organized estimating files and bid documentation
• Work closely with project management, superintendents, and company leadership to ensure a smooth handoff from estimating to construction
• Help evaluate project schedules, logistics, and site conditions when developing estimates

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in commercial civil construction estimating preferred
• Strong understanding of sitework, excavation, grading, and underground utilities
• Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans and specifications
• Experience performing construction quantity takeoffs
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines at the same time
• Strong communication and follow-through
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other estimating/project management software
• Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the field and office teams
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years of construction estimating experience
• Experience with commercial sitework/civil construction
• Experience with ODOT, municipal, commercial, or prevailing-wage projects
• Familiarity with estimating software and electronic plan/takeoff platforms
• Experience obtaining and comparing subcontractor/vendor quotes
