Project Estimator

Key Responsibilities

• Review project drawings, specifications, tender documents, and scope of work to determine project requirements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and BOQs for projects.
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, transportation, and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare tender pricing, cost breakdowns, and commercial proposals.
• Analyze project costs and identify potential risks, discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project management, and commercial teams to ensure accurate estimates.
• Prepare cost comparisons and evaluate alternative materials and construction methods where appropriate.
• Assist in tender clarifications, commercial negotiations, and submission documentation.
• Maintain updated records of supplier quotations, material prices, and historical project costs.
• Monitor changes in project scope and assess their cost implications.
• Ensure all estimates and tender submissions are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in project estimation, preferably in construction or engineering.
• Experience preparing BOQs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender submissions.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, project specifications, and contractual documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with estimation software and cost management tools is an advantage.
• Knowledge of UAE construction practices, material rates, and subcontractor pricing is preferred.
• Strong numerical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication, coordination, and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict tender deadlines.

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED5,500.00 per month
