Project Estimator

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Estimator to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Duties

• Develop comprehensive construction estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using industry-standard software.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project scope, requirements, and constraints.
• Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis to determine accurate costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Prepare bid proposals that clearly outline cost breakdowns, assumptions, and exclusions.
• Assist in managing cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle by monitoring budgets and identifying potential overruns early.
• Support contract negotiations by reviewing terms related to pricing, scope of work, and project timelines to ensure alignment with company policies and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management processes.
• Proficiency in estimating software Quickbooks Online.
• Solid knowledge of construction site operations, contracts, and project management principles.
• Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing while fostering positive relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis accurately.
• Construction site experience is preferred to better understand on-the-ground realities impacting estimates.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting estimates clearly.
• Familiarity with cost control strategies and the ability to adapt estimates based on project changes or scope modifications.
