Project Executive

Our client is a leading provider of infrastructure solutions supporting the electric power industry. Their work spans large-scale power delivery projects, including transmission, distribution, and substation construction, with capabilities covering engineering, procurement, construction, and project management.

They are seeking an experienced Project Executive in the Houston area to lead major power infrastructure projects from pursuit and initial planning through construction and final project closeout. This is a highly visible leadership position responsible for project execution, financial performance, customer relationships, safety, quality, and overall team success.

Responsibilities:

• Lead DB/EPC projects from pursuit through construction and closeout
• Oversee Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Construction Managers, and multidisciplinary teams
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, schedules, contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, estimating, scheduling, and construction activities
• Oversee field operations and ensure projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and key project stakeholders
• Manage RFIs, change orders, subcontractor performance, project reporting, and dispute resolution
• Conduct value engineering and constructability reviews
• Lead procurement activities and oversee subcontractor and supplier scopes
• Prepare and present project progress, budget, and schedule reports
• Support business development and future project opportunities
• Mentor and develop project team members
• Oversee project closeout, warranty administration, and final cost reporting

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
• 10+ years of construction project management experience
• Experience managing large-scale Design-Build and/or EPC projects
• Power delivery experience strongly preferred, particularly transmission, distribution, or substation construction
• Strong understanding of engineering, estimating, procurement, scheduling, construction, contracts, and project controls
• Experience managing budgets, forecasting, contracts, subcontractors, and project financial performance
• Previous leadership experience managing Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong knowledge of power industry safety, quality, and environmental practices
• Experience working directly with customers and senior stakeholders
• Familiarity with Primavera P6 and Procore preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Ability to travel up to 75% based on project requirements
