We are partnering with an established Southern California general contractor to hire a Project Executive as part of its long-term growth strategy.

The company has been operating for over 30 years, delivering a variety of commercial, healthcare, life science and institutional projects across Southern California. With an established reputation, longstanding client relationships and a recently strengthened executive leadership team, the business is targeting growth to $125M–$140M in annual revenue over the next few years.

This is an opportunity to join an established contractor at an important stage of its growth, working directly with the COO to help expand the business, develop client relationships and oversee the successful delivery of projects.

The ideal candidate will be a seller-doer , someone who can bring in new business while also having the operational experience to lead projects through to completion.

The Role

• Report directly to the COO, playing a key role in the company's growth and operational strategy
• Develop new client relationships and generate opportunities for future projects
• Manage and expand existing client relationships to secure repeat business
• Oversee multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Provide leadership and oversight to Project Managers, Superintendents and project delivery teams
• Work closely with preconstruction and estimating teams to pursue and secure new projects
• Take responsibility for project performance, including budgets, schedules, profitability and client satisfaction
• Support the development of operational processes and teams as the business continues to grow
• Work alongside executive leadership to identify new markets and opportunities for expansion

What We're Looking For

• Established Project Executive or Project Director with good ties to the LA/OC area
• Strong background working for a commercial general contractor (GC side)
• Proven seller-doer experience , with the ability to develop business and successfully deliver projects
• Established relationships with owners, developers and clients across Southern California
• Experience across a variety of commercial construction sectors, rather than being limited to a single market
• Strong understanding of preconstruction, project delivery, financial management and operational leadership
• Experience managing multiple projects and leading Project Managers and field teams
• Commercial awareness and the ability to identify profitable opportunities for the business
• Strong communication, leadership and client relationship management skills
• Stable employment history and a track record of successfully delivering projects
• Southern California construction market knowledge preferred
