As part of our growing delivery portfolio, you will contribute to infrastructure programs that improve public safety communications and connectivity across NSW. This role supports the expansion and enhancement of the Public Safety Network (PSN), delivering increased outdoor and in-building coverage to ensure reliable communications for emergency services and government agencies in NSW.

As a Project Field Manager, you will provide field-based expertise and technical oversight of telecommunications infrastructure projects, ensuring construction activities are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with program requirements. You will oversee the installation, testing and commissioning of network infrastructure, coordinate subcontractors, resolve onsite technical issues, and ensure quality standards are met before assets are placed into service. Your responsibilities will include

  • Overseeing regular site inspections and audits during construction and post-construction of mission-critical communications infrastructure to identify and address site risks and support quality delivery outcomes.
  • Providing specialist advice and oversight to field and construction teams to ensure effective site delivery through governance, technical issue resolution, and compliance with NSWTA guidelines and processes, informed by field experience.
  • Managing site access requirements and delivery challenges, including working with customer and agency partners to preserve existing service and coverage during planned activities on site.
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS requirements and safe work practices are always adhered to.
Coordinating with project managers and contractors to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing testing, commissioning and quality assurance activities including working closely with delivery operations teams and Network Operations Centre (NOC).
  • Providing updates and reporting on delivery progress including UAT testing, defect resolutions and any other site related risks to delivery.
