Project Head

FyneHand has been mandated to hire for a Project Head for a leading player in the renewable energy industry. The job location is Delhi.

Role overview: The Project Head shall be responsible for end-to-end execution, monitoring, coordination, and successful completion of utility-scale Solar, Wind, Hybrid projects power projects. The role involves managing overall sites activities including civil, electrical, mechanical, erection, commissioning, safety, quality, logistics, stakeholder management, and project delivery within defined timelines and budgets.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complete execution of large-scale Solar, Wind Hybrid, BESS power projects
• Ensure project completion within approved timelines, safety, and quality standards
• Coordinate with internal teams & contractors’ seamless execution
• Monitor sites progress, resource deployment, productivity, and construction schedules
• Manage civil, electrical, and mechanical works including WTG foundations, roads, crane pads, pooling substations, and transmission line activities
• Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, environmental, and company standards
• Review and monitor project planning, MIS reports, risk registers, and mitigation plans
• Lead sites-level decision-making and resolve execution challenges effectively
• Coordinate with local authorities, vendors, and stakeholders for smooth project execution
• Ensure proper quality control and adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies
• Drive project commissioning activities and support handover to operations team
• Monitor contractor billing, certification, and cost optimization initiatives
• Conduct regular review meetings with contractors and management for progress tracking
• Ensure proper implementation of HSE requirements and zero-harm culture at site
• Mentor and lead multidisciplinary site teams for effective project execution

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Strong experience in handling multiple projects of utility-scale Power project execution
• Leadership and team management capability for large site teams
• Excellent project planning and coordination skills
• Knowledge of erection, commissioning, and infrastructure development
• Understanding of project contracts, budgeting, and commercial aspects
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple contractors and cross-functional coordination
• Good understanding of safety and quality management systems

Educational Qualification and Work Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
• 20+ Years (Experience in Solar, Wind, BESS)

Preferred Industry Experience:

• Candidates with prior experience in utility-scale renewable energy projects, especially power projects involving reputed OEMs and EPC contractors, shall be preferred
• At least having experience in handling 2 projects of approximately 250 MW capacity each as single projects
