Project HSE Engineer

CONTEXT

As part of the development of international energy projects, Abyss Energy, engineering and recruitment consultancy, is looking for a Project HSE Engineer .

You will contribute to challenging projects with the objective of ensuring the effective implementation and continuous improvement of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements throughout the project lifecycle, in compliance with international standards and industry best practices.

MISSIONS

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Developing, implementing and monitoring HSE Management Systems across projects.
• Supporting the identification, assessment and mitigation of HSE risks .
• Performing and coordinating risk assessments , hazard identification studies and associated action plans.
• Conducting or supporting incident investigations and ensuring the follow-up of corrective and preventive actions.
• Planning and carrying out HSE audits and monitoring the implementation of recommendations.
• Promoting a strong safety culture among project stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, client requirements and HSE standards.
• Preparing HSE reports, KPIs and performance indicators to monitor project HSE performance.
• Providing HSE guidance and support to project teams during all project phases.

PROFILE

• Significant experience in Oil & Gas projects, especially offshore projects
• Proven experience in the development and follow-up of HSE Management Systems .
• Strong expertise in risk assessments, incident investigations and HSE audits .
• Engineering, HSE or related degree.
• Professional proficiency in English is mandatory.
• Experience in a similar Project HSE Engineer position.
• Knowledge of French  would be an advantage.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multicultural and international project environments.
