About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project In Charge to join LEC Steel Manufacturing Corp. in Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing construction projects from inception through to completion. As Project In Charge, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This position is integral to our operations, directly impacting project success, client satisfaction, and the overall growth of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Overseeing all aspects of construction project execution, including planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation
• Managing project teams and coordinating with contractors, sub-contractors, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery
• Monitoring project progress against timelines and budgets, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as necessary
• Conducting site inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
• Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, reports and records
• Managing project budgets and controlling costs whilst maintaining quality standards
• Liaising with clients to provide regular updates, address concerns and ensure satisfaction with project delivery
• Ensuring all safety regulations and compliance requirements are adhered to on site
• Resolving project issues and conflicts promptly and professionally
• Preparing tender documents and participating in bid processes for new projects

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 1 years' experience in construction project management, preferably within steel manufacturing or heavy construction industries
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project management best practices and industry standards
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure
• Comprehensive understanding of health, safety and environmental (HSE) regulations and compliance requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent is highly desirable
• Experience with steel construction projects is preferred
