Project Intern (Site Development Management)

About the role

Project Intern (Site Development Management) supporting solar PV project site development, coordinating subcontractors, managing design changes, liaising with internal teams and external parties, and assisting with system setup, testing, and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractors' work scopes and schedules and monitor the quality of installation work.
• Record and manage design changes, report site improvement suggestions and key issues to the supervisor.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external parties, such as TNB, consultants, and local authorities, on licensing applications and required documents.
• Set up the remote monitoring system and assist with testing and commissioning of solar PV systems.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress and technical reports. Promptly report critical issues, such as material shortages, project delays, subcontractor performance concerns, and regulatory changes.
• Support site meetings and coordinate with the Project Management team and other stakeholders to help meet project targets.
• Support project handover by working with team members to confirm that the agreed scope of work and service requirements have been met.
• Record and verify the serial numbers of panels installed at each unit and match each inverter's serial number with its monitoring device.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation for each house in the development.
• Assist with other site management and project coordination duties as required.

About you

• Minimum internship period of 10 weeks is preferred.

• Both Diploma and Degree students are welcome to apply.

• Customer-oriented, independent, problem solving, reporting skills and good interpersonal skills.

• Able to work and adhere to tight deadlines.

• Able to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment.

• Comfortable working on weekends and public holidays if required.

• Possess valid driving license D, and able to travel.

• Willing to work on-site and learn in a construction environment.

• Familiar with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace.
