Project Management Coordinator

About the Role

Airflow Dynamics is an engineering technology company focused on HVAC energy optimization and intelligent building systems.

We are seeking an Project Management Intern / Co-op to support industrial engineering and construction projects in the Greater Austin area. This role provides hands-on exposure to real-world project execution, cross-functional coordination, and on-site engineering activities.

The position is well suited for students who are organized, proactive, comfortable communicating with different stakeholders, and interested in developing practical experience in engineering project management.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers with day-to-day project coordination and follow-up
• Track project schedules, milestones, action items, and outstanding issues
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
• Follow up on material status, deliveries, documentation, and project requirements
• Assist with meeting preparation, meeting notes, and action-item tracking
• Help identify schedule risks, delays, and dependencies and escalate issues when needed
• Maintain organized project documentation, reports, and status updates
• Support communication between U.S.-based project teams and Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
• Participate in project meetings and gain exposure to active project sites in the Austin area
• Assist with other project management and engineering coordination tasks as needed

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management, or a related engineering field
• Junior, Senior, or Master’s student
• Professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English is required (This role requires regular coordination with suppliers, subcontractors, business partners, and overseas colleagues whose primary working language is Mandarin Chinese.)
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-up skills
• Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and managing multiple open items
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Able to work independently after receiving guidance and take ownership of assigned tasks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with project management or construction software such as Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar tools is preferred.
• Ability to commute to the project site in Georgetown, Texas, as needed
• Must have valid U.S. work authorization for the duration of the internship/co-op; F-1 students eligible for CPT/OPT are welcome to apply

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework or previous exposure related to electrical systems, HVAC, construction, project management, or industrial facilities
• Previous internship, student project, research, or project coordination experience
• Familiarity with engineering drawings, project schedules, construction documentation, or technical specifications
• Interest in pursuing a career in engineering project management, construction management, or industrial project delivery

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
