Role Summary

We are establishing a new Business Process Management department to design, implement and govern scalable business processes across a growing multi-division organisation.

The Head of Business Process Management & Implementation will build this department from the ground up. The position will establish the process framework, recruit and manage the team, create the enterprise process architecture and implement processes across all corporate and operational functions.

This is a hands-on department-building role. It is not limited to documenting SOPs, process auditing or providing recommendations. The successful candidate must personally lead implementation and ensure that approved processes are embedded into systems and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Establish the Business Process Management department from scratch.
* Develop the department mandate, structure, operating plan, budget and implementation roadmap.
* Recruit and manage process analysts and implementation specialists.
* Create the organisation-wide process hierarchy and enterprise process inventory.
* Establish standards for process maps, SOPs, policies, work instructions and controls.
* Identify and prioritise critical processes across every department.
* Conduct process-design workshops with senior functional leaders.
* Map current-state and future-state workflows.
* Design cross-functional end-to-end business processes.
* Define process owners, RACI matrices, decision rights and approval authorities.
* Establish process controls, service levels, KPIs and escalation procedures.
* Implement processes across finance, HR, procurement, legal, strategy, PMO, engineering, commercial operations, IT and other functions.
* Translate business processes into ERP, BPM and workflow-system requirements.
* Coordinate with enterprise architecture, technology and system-implementation teams.
* Lead testing, pilots, rollout, training and adoption.
* Establish a controlled central process repository.
* Monitor process compliance, effectiveness and employee adoption.
* Create dashboards for executive management.
* Lead process reviews and continuous-improvement programmes.
* Develop a scalable process framework capable of supporting thousands of employees and multiple companies.

First 12-Month Deliverables

* Establish and staff the new BPM department.
* Complete the enterprise process hierarchy and process inventory.
* Establish standard templates and process-governance procedures.
* Assign accountable owners to all priority business processes.
* Prioritise the first 100150 processes for implementation.
* Implement at least 75100 critical processes.
* Establish the enterprise process repository.
* Integrate priority processes into business systems and workflows.
* Train department leaders and employees.
* Launch process-performance and compliance dashboards.
* Produce the three-year process implementation roadmap.

Mandatory Experience

* 10–15 years in business process management, business transformation, process excellence or operational excellence.
* Experience working within an organisation of at least 1,000 employees.
* Previous responsibility for implementing enterprise processes across multiple departments.
* Experience establishing or significantly expanding a BPM or process-excellence capability.
* Evidence of taking processes from initial design through implementation and adoption.
* Experience managing process analysts or transformation teams.
* Strong experience in SOPs, BPMN, RACIs, controls, KPIs and process governance.
* Experience supporting ERP, BPM, workflow or enterprise-system implementations.
* Strong stakeholder and change-management capability.
* Ability to work directly with executive leaders and department heads.
* Excellent written and spoken English.

Preferred Experience

* Experience in a diversified group, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, engineering, technology or consulting environment.
* Experience supporting a rapidly scaling or multi-company organisation.
* Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
* Knowledge of BPMN 2.0, SIPOC, value-stream mapping and process mining.
* Experience with ARIS, SAP Signavio, Bizagi, Visio or Lucidchart.
