Job Purpose

The Project Management Superintendent leads the end-to-end management of New Product Development (NPD), innovation, optimization, and product change projects from feasibility assessment through commercialization and launch. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within quality and regulatory requirements, and aligned with business, operational, and market objectives. This position serves as the key coordinator among cross-functional teams, driving project execution, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and continuous improvement initiatives to support successful product launches and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Execution

• Lead and manage NPD, innovation, optimization, and product change projects from initiation to commercialization.
• Develop project timelines, define project scope, and ensure key milestones are achieved.
• Conduct project feasibility assessments and identify project requirements across functions.
• Manage project risks, issues, and mitigation plans to minimize impact on timelines and deliverables.
• Ensure accurate SAP master data setup, BOM validation, packaging specifications, and related documentation.
• Oversee transition projects and manage inventory write-off exposure.

Project Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Ensure transparency on project risks, timelines, and deliverables.
• Maintain complete project documentation for traceability and compliance.
• Track project performance against launch targets and service requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including Product Development, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Operations, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate alignment among stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Drive issue resolution and promote collaboration across teams.

Commercialization & Post-Launch Support

• Ensure readiness for commercial production, including materials, specifications, item setup, and production requirements.
• Monitor product launches and initial production runs to ensure quality and service standards are met.
• Conduct post-launch evaluations and monitor product performance as needed.

Quality, Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with applicable quality, regulatory, and food safety standards.
• Coordinate product testing, evaluation activities, and required certifications.
• Identify and address potential quality and operational risks before commercialization.

SKU Rationalization & Write-Off Management

• Support SKU review and rationalization initiatives.
• Manage and facilitate write-off review, approval, documentation, and charging processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis for unresolved inventory write-off issues.

Continuous Improvement & Documentation

• Drive process improvements, project management enhancements, and initiatives that improve speed-to-market.
• Develop and maintain project dashboards, databases, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure project management guidelines and documentation remain current and effective.

Training & Knowledge Transfer

• Conduct project management training and refresher sessions for stakeholders.
• Support onboarding and knowledge transfer for new team members and market partners.
• Promote consistent application of project management processes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects from development through commercialization is highly preferred.

Technical Competencies
