ABOUT US

We are an established, growing boutique architecture firm located in Bird Rock. We handle a diverse portfolio across San Diego, ranging from high-end custom residential additions and remodels to large-scale commercial tenant improvements, including retail, office, and healthcare spaces. Working with us means direct mentorship from two licensed architects and hands-on involvement in every phase of design and construction.

THE POSITION
We are looking for a motivated project manager with 3 to 5 years of architectural office experience. You are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple deadlines. You excel at client communication, agency coordination, and turning conceptual ideas into reality.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage multiple projects concurrently, coordinating directly with clients, structural/MEP consultants, and jurisdictional agencies.

  • Produce and oversee construction document packages primarily in Revit, including developing precise construction details.
  • Conduct zoning, planning, and building code research, with specific emphasis on the California Building Code and San Diego Municipal Code.
  • Navigate plan-check submittals and address comments from planning, building, fire, and public works departments.
  • Guide projects seamlessly from initial conceptual design through construction administration.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a U.S. architectural office.
  • Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding of construction detailing, accessibility standards, and the CBC.
  • High level of integrity, organization, and enthusiasm.
  • Must be located in San Diego, CA with reliable transportation to our La Jolla office.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Salary Range: $70,000 – $100,000 annualized (commensurate with experience; prorated for part-time).
  • Health insurance coverage (for full-time employees).
  • 401(k) with employer matching.
  • Paid holidays, vacation days, and sick leave.
  • Reimbursement for passed architecture licensure exams and support for APX/ARE hours.
  • Flexible weekday hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM core window).
