Project Manager Assistant

About the Role

Actemium Water Infrastructure Australia is seeking a motivated and technically minded Project Manager Assistant to join our team in Wacol.

Supporting the delivery of critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in a project environment and enjoys working across planning, procurement, project controls, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery activities.

Working closely with Project Managers and operational teams, you will play an important role in helping projects run efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality and compliance requirements.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle, from tendering and design through to procurement, delivery, commissioning, and project close-out.
• Coordinate procurement activities, ensuring materials, subcontractors, and services are delivered in line with project schedules and requirements.
• Assist with project planning, reporting, project controls, invoicing, and the monitoring of project performance, budgets, and risks.
• Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation to support design management and project execution.
• Maintain accurate and compliant project records, including permits, risk assessments, technical documentation, and quality records.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to support safe and successful project delivery.

What You'll Bring

• Experience supporting project delivery within electrical, infrastructure, construction, utilities, manufacturing, or a similar technical environment.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and project deliverables.
• Sound technical literacy, including the ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with proficiency across Microsoft Office applications and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach.

Essential Requirements

• Electrical Licence or equivalent trade qualification.
• Construction Industry White Card.
• Current Queensland Class C Driver's Licence.

Desirable

• PMP Certification or similar project management qualification.
• Exposure to quality management systems, safety systems, project controls, or ISO compliance requirements.
