Project Manager - Assistant - Construction

Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager / Project Engineer – Heavy Civil Construction

Marinship Development Interest LLC is seeking experienced and motivated Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers to join our growing heavy civil construction team.

We perform public works and infrastructure projects throughout the Bay Area, including underground utilities, excavation and grading, structural and site concrete, demolition, paving, water/wastewater, and transportation projects.

Responsibilities

Depending on experience and position level, responsibilities may include:

• Assist with or manage projects from startup through closeout.
• Review plans, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Track project costs, quantities, schedules, and budgets.
• Assist with procurement, subcontractor management, and material coordination.
• Prepare and track change orders and supporting documentation.
• Attend project meetings and track action items.
• Support project billing, forecasting, and cost control.
• Coordinate closely with Superintendents and field teams.
• Maintain project documentation and assist with project closeout.

Qualifications

• Construction experience in a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar role.
• Heavy civil, underground utility, concrete, excavation, transportation, or water/wastewater experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Public works construction experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Clearstory, Microsoft Project, Viewpoint Vista, and Textura is preferred.
• Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related degree preferred, but relevant construction experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to Bay Area project sites.

Position level and compensation will be based on experience.
