What they need


Context

The Project Manager CI&S is responsible for supporting operations throughout the entire lifetime of a customer installation (from offer to dismantling). The CI&S Project Manager supports the commercial teams during the business development phase. They ensure cost calculation, project preparation, execution, and handover of all projects related to customer installation, managing lead time, budget, and scope while considering legal obligations, AL standards, quality, and best practices.

As a CI&S Project Manager, they will manage different types of projects (PG, Bulk & On Site, and E&I if applicable). They oversee the operational scope of the project, manage costs, reporting, and lead time according to project requirements, and ensure legal and IMS compliance. The CI&S Project Manager cooperates with Project Managers EIM Engineering on more complex and non-standard projects.

They ensure the implementation of environmental legislation, work in line with the ISO 14001 standard, respect good environmental practices, and maintain a positive attitude toward environmental preservation.

Missions

a) Project scope definition

  • Support the sales representative in the opportunity/business development phase.
  • Ensure a clear scope is defined during the business development phase.

b) Study & design

  • Define necessary services and appropriate equipment, including assets, in collaboration with the Assets team.
  • Prepare specifications and perform RFQs together with Procurement, if applicable.
  • Develop technical proposals, including budgetary and scheduling requirements, to support commercial offers.
  • Ensure a complete and clear design basis is established.
  • Initiate the PRA (if applicable), led by the PRMR, and support the SHE department for other risk assessments if needed.
  • Obtain validation from Design Authority or use validated standard designs.

c) Realisation installation

  • Participate during the offer/contract/Design Basis review.
  • Lead project execution upon budget approval.
  • Obtain necessary legal permits.
  • Acquire and obtain required parts and services.
  • Ensure installations are constructed using internal Air Liquide staff or external contractors.
  • Ensure timely project reviews and reports to stakeholders (especially sales representatives).
  • Announce and manage change orders if any (deviations from initial scope).
  • Manage reservation of assets (vessels, heaters, mixers, and other invested equipment).

d) Start up & handover

  • Supervise and execute start-up and commissioning procedures or assign these responsibilities to qualified personnel, ensuring adherence to PSSR and RTOR protocols.
  • Complete technical files and hand them over to operations.
  • Initiate project closure.
  • Provide feedback on project lessons learned with all involved stakeholders.
  • Provide necessary information to maintenance teams for implementing maintenance plans on invested equipment.
  • Determine working budget for continuous maintenance purposes.
  • Communicate completion of investment orders to accounting/investment control to allow proper and timely activation of installed assets.

Profile wanted


  1. Proven experience in project management related to customer installations
  2. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD at a confirmed level
  3. Certified or confirmed experience with VCA
  4. Basic knowledge of SAP
  5. Ability to manage project scope, budget, lead time, and legal compliance
  6. Experience in coordinating with commercial teams and procurement
  7. Familiarity with environmental legislation and standards such as ISO 14001
  8. Strong communication and reporting skills
