Project Manager (Civil & Structural Engineer)

Job Purpose

Responsible for design review, construction supervision, quality control, and technical management of civil, structural, infrastructure, and building projects. Ensures work is executed safely, on budget, and in compliance with approved designs, Jordanian regulations, and international engineering standards, while supporting project development, contractor management, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

- Design Review: Review structural drawings, calculations, and specifications; verify code compliance; support value engineering.

- Construction Planning: Plan schedules, coordinate contractors/consultants, monitor milestones and procurement needs.

- Site Supervision: Oversee daily construction (excavation, concrete, steel, finishing) for compliance with drawings, quality, and schedule.

- Civil & Infrastructure: Support roads, drainage, utilities, and grading works through completion and close-out.

- QA/QC: Review submittals and method statements, coordinate material testing, track non-conformities and inspection records.

- Contractor Management: Monitor contractor performance, quantities, work programs, and support claims/variation-order evaluation.

- Cost Control: Verify BOQs, measurement sheets, and payment applications; monitor budget and cost impacts of changes.

- HSE Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety policies, conduct inspections and risk assessments, support incident investigations.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Jordanian codes/laws, coordinate permits and audits, maintain compliance records.

- Handover & Documentation: Manage commissioning, snag lists, as-built drawings, and project record archives.

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: Bachelor's in Civil/Structural/Construction Engineering (Master's an advantage).

- Experience: 8–10 years in structural engineering, construction supervision, or infrastructure projects, including contractor management and industrial/commercial builds.

- Certifications (preferred): PE, PMP, CCM, FIDIC, NEBOSH/IOSH, ISO 9001 Auditor, AutoCAD Professional.
