Working closely with our directors, managers, supervisors, foremen and project delivery teams, you'll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on programme and within budget while maintaining the high standards for our clients.
You'll play a key role in building relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors while driving continuous improvement across our business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage civil infrastructure projects from tender through to practical completion.
- Develop and manage project programmes, resources and procurement.
- Lead project forecasting, budgeting, cost control and financial reporting.
- Manage variations, claims and commercial performance.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
- Build strong working relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
- Ensure projects meet all health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Identify project risks early and implement practical solutions.
- Deliver projects that meet programme, budget and client expectations.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who enjoys running well-organised projects and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes.
You'll ideally have:
- Proven experience managing civil infrastructure projects.
- Experience delivering water, wastewater or pipeline projects.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, forecasting and cost control.
- Sound understanding of NZS3910 and civil construction contracts.
- Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers and project programmes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- A proactive approach to planning, problem-solving and decision-making.
- The ability to motivate and lead project teams while maintaining a positive site culture.
- A commitment to high standards of safety, quality and client service.
- A current Full Class 1 Driver Licence.
