What they need
About the company
An established project management consultancy with operations across Australia is continuing to strengthen its presence in Newcastle.
Working across a diverse range of property and construction projects, they partner with clients to manage the planning, development and delivery of projects across both the public and private sectors.
With a strong pipeline of work and plans to grow their local operations, they are looking for a capable and motivated Project Manager who wants to take ownership of their projects and play a key role in the business as it continues to expand.
About the role
This is an opportunity for an experienced client-side Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and getting things done.
Managing projects from the early planning stages through to completion, you will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and other key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered successfully.
You'll be responsible for managing project programmes, budgets, procurement, consultant coordination and delivery, while proactively identifying risks and addressing issues before they impact project outcomes.
Importantly, we're looking for someone who can think independently and take initiative. You'll be comfortable working autonomously, researching solutions to challenges and making informed recommendations rather than relying on others for direction.
As the Newcastle business continues to grow, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility and contribute to its ongoing development.
About you
- Previous experience working in a client-side project management consultancy, or directly for the developer / asset owner.
- A proven ability to independently manage property and construction projects through various stages of delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to engage with clients, consultants and contractors at all levels.
- A proactive approach to identifying and managing project risks, resolving issues and keeping projects moving.
- A natural problem solver who takes the initiative to investigate challenges and develop practical solutions.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of project budgets, programmes and procurement.
- A motivated, adaptable and self-driven individual who takes ownership of their work and follows through on commitments.
What's on offer
- Join an established national consultancy with a growing presence in Newcastle.
- The opportunity to manage a diverse range of projects and take genuine ownership of your work.
- Work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.
- The opportunity to grow professionally and take on greater responsibility as the local business expands.
- A competitive salary package commensurate with experience.
