About the Role

We are looking for a driven Project Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects in the San Jose area. This role partners closely with Superintendents, clients, architects, and subcontractors to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of assigned projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Develop and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and monthly cost reports
• Prepare, negotiate, and manage subcontractor buyout, contracts, and change orders
• Lead project scheduling in partnership with the Superintendent, tracking milestones and critical path activities
• Serve as primary client point of contact, managing expectations and maintaining strong owner relationships
• Review and process submittals, RFIs, and drawings to ensure alignment with contract documents
• Manage project financials, including pay applications, subcontractor invoicing, and cost coding
• Coordinate with design teams to resolve constructability and design issues
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, permits, and local jurisdiction regulations
• Lead project meetings and maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
• Mentor Assistant Project Managers and project engineers

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction (general contracting)
• Experience with tech, life sciences, corporate interiors, or mixed-use construction in the South Bay/Silicon Valley market preferred
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, and financial management systems
• Excellent negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
