Project Manager

Our client is a leading agribusiness and renewable energy company in Southern Thailand, specializing in the production and distribution of crude palm oil and related products.

The company also operates biogas power generation facilities that convert production by-products and waste into renewable electricity, supporting sustainable and circular economy practices. For this Project manager position:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of new capital projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and utility operations.

The role is responsible for managing project lifecycles from concept development, engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover, while also improving the reliability, efficiency, and performance of existing equipment and processes.

The successful candidate will work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and management teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable standards.

Job description

• Lead new capital projects from concept, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk mitigation plans.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
• Drive machine upgrades, plant expansion, and process optimization initiatives.
• Identify and implement reliability, efficiency, and productivity improvement projects.
• Conduct root cause analysis and develop sustainable solutions for equipment issues.
• Monitor project performance and report progress to management.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of project management experience in industrial environments.
• Proven experience managing both new projects and improvement projects for existing equipment or facilities.
• Background in Energy, Power Plant, Sugar, Biomass, Utilities, Manufacturing, or related industries.
• Strong knowledge of engineering, construction, commissioning, and maintenance practices.
• Experience managing CAPEX projects and contractor performance.
• Proficient in project planning and project management tools.
• Able to communicate in English.
