We are partnered with a leading Irish main contractor delivering some of the country's most significant and technically complex construction projects.

With a strong pipeline of secured work across Ireland, the business is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of a major engineering-led development in Leinster.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a substantial and technically challenging project from construction through to completion and handover.

Working closely with senior operational leadership, you'll take responsibility for programme, site delivery, subcontractor coordination, quality and overall project performance.

The project involves a combination of complex structural, civil, M&E and specialist packages, making this particularly suited to someone with experience delivering large-scale, technically demanding construction projects.

The Projects

You'll initially take responsibility for a major engineering-led project in Leinster, forming part of the contractor's wider portfolio of complex developments across Ireland.

The project incorporates:

• Complex civil and structural works
• Significant M&E and building services packages
• Specialist engineering and construction elements
• Multiple subcontractor and stakeholder interfaces
• Technically challenging construction and commissioning activities

Key Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of the project.
• Lead Site Managers, Engineers and the wider project delivery team.
• Develop, manage and drive the construction programme.
• Coordinate complex civil, structural and M&E workstreams.
• Manage subcontractors and ensure packages are delivered against programme requirements.
• Work closely with Commercial, Design and Planning teams throughout delivery.
• Identify programme and delivery risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Manage relationships with clients, consultants and key project stakeholders.
• Drive the highest standards of health & safety, quality and environmental performance.
• Chair project and progress meetings and report directly to senior operational leadership.
• Manage commissioning, completion and successful project handover.
• Mentor and develop members of the project delivery team.

Required Experience & Background

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within a main contractor environment.
• Strong track record delivering large-scale, technically complex construction projects.
• Experience coordinating significant civil, structural and M&E packages.
• Strong understanding of construction programming, sequencing and procurement.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent subcontractor, consultant and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project performance.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• Degree qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering complex industrial, infrastructure, utilities, advanced manufacturing or engineering-led projects would be advantageous.
• Previous experience with a Tier 1 or established main contractor is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
