About the Role

CLOOS Americas is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in Schaumburg, Illinois . This is a full-time, on-site position focused on leading and overseeing complex welding automation projects.

The Project Manager will oversee projects from scope definition and planning through execution and delivery, coordinating resources and working across sales, operations, engineering, and service to keep projects on schedule, within scope, and on budget.

This role requires someone who can manage multiple complex projects, address challenges directly, communicate effectively with customers and internal teams, and continually look for opportunities to improve our project processes and the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end robotic welding automation projects, including scope definition, planning, resource allocation, execution, and delivery.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
• Manage multiple large-scale projects or programs simultaneously.
• Create and maintain project schedules throughout the duration of each project and communicate progress to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales, operations, engineering, and service teams to support project execution and identify improvements that can be applied to future projects.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolve conflicts, and ensure adherence to project schedules and quality standards.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and support customer satisfaction through clear communication and effective problem-solving.
• Conduct commercial reviews of contracts.
• Apply an understanding of delivery Incoterms as they relate to project execution.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures to improve the efficiency and consistency of project processes.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required by projects, up to approximately 20%.

Qualifications Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent 5+ years of formal, dedicated project management experience.
• Strong proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines concurrently.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or similar platforms.
• Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Wrike, Monday.com, or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge of automated machinery and engineering is highly desirable, but not required.

Skills & Abilities

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with natural leadership ability.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify and directly address situations requiring resolution, including difficult or uncomfortable project issues.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, engineering, operations, service, and other cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders across different cultures and international environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Technical Experience

The following technical experience is highly desired :

• Experience with SolidWorks Part, Assembly, and Drawing creation.
• Experience with PDM software for document control.
• Experience with SolidWorks Composer and 3D simulation tools is a plus.

Location & Travel

• Location: Schaumburg, Illinois
• Work arrangement: Full-time, on-site
• Travel: Domestic and international travel up to approximately 20%
