We have partnered with a Vic State Government Agency on a digital transformation initiative and are looking to place a Solutions Project Manager to join our team on a 3 month contract basis with a possibility to extend.

The role will be based in Melbourne.

The Role:

The objective of the Project Manager is to lead the delivery of an integrated, end-to-end technology solution for a systems replacement program.

This role will oversee project planning, execution, and governance to ensure the solution addresses current system inefficiencies and aligns with the objectives of the approved business case.

The Project Manager must have experience with agile delivery including experience managing software development.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A minimum of 5 years Project Management experience including managing software development and/or COTS implementation.

• Experience working within complex ICT environments (preferably within the government sector) and reporting to Steering Committees at senior management and exec levels.

• Formal project management methodology experience required - either PRINCE2 or PMBOK.

• Proven agile PM/scrum master experience under the Agile SCRUM methodology, including the running of all ceremonies.

• Experience managing the full project life cycle from planning through to operational support handover.

• Experience managing multi-functional teams across Business Analysis, Architecture (Solution, Security, Data, Infrastructure), Development, and Testing.

• Experience in managing software development and or COTS implementation.

• Hands-on experience in managing finance/forecast and delivering projects to the approved budget.

• Experience within the Government sector are highly desirable.
