Project Manager

About the role

The project manager shall be responsible for the overall construction management of the assigned project site, managing operations and construction activities from project awarding to turnover.

Key responsibilities

• Overall management of the operations and construction activities at the project site from project awarding to turnover
• Plan, schedule, or coordinate construction project activities (operating strategies, plans, or procedures) to meet deadlines
• Prepare and oversee the project budget. Ensure operating expenses are monitored and within budget
• Provide technical or resource requirements for the development of site projects. Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility and implementation
• Provide technical advice to industrial or managerial personnel regarding design, construction, or program modifications or structural repairs
• Conduct construction inspection and review the integrity of the structure and recommend corrective action to avoid the cumulative effect of such deviation and recover delay to finish the task in time
• Evaluate construction methods and determine the cost-effectiveness of plans
• Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations or establish reference points, grades, or elevations to guide construction
• Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, or other topographical or geologic data
• Direct engineering activities ensuring compliance with environmental, safety, or other governmental regulations

About you

• Professional license (passed board/bar/professional license exam) in engineering (civil) or equivalent
• At least 7-10 years of working experience in the related field
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Assistant manager/manager level experience specialized in engineering—civil/construction/structural or equivalent
• Proven working experience in project management in the construction industry
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills
• Knowledge of contractor management and regulatory compliance requirements
• Familiarity with layout and design of related schematics and specifications (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, and similar software)
