Project Manager

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly organised, proactive, and emotionally intelligent Project Manager to oversee renovation projects from inception to completion.

You will be the key link between our clients, in-house design team, and site contractors, ensuring that projects are well-coordinated, accurately executed, and delivered according to the approved design, quality standards, budget, and timeline.

The ideal candidate is someone who is technically competent, people-oriented, and confident in managing both clients and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Design Coordination

• Meet with clients to understand their requirements, lifestyle needs, expectations, and design preferences.
• Translate client requirements and design briefs into clear, actionable instructions for the in-house design team and contractors.
• Coordinate closely with designers to ensure the design intent is accurately communicated and executed on-site.
• Manage client expectations professionally and maintain a high level of emotional intelligence (EQ) when handling concerns, changes, or difficult project discussions.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the renovation process.

Technical & Project Documentation

• Read, interpret, and understand architectural and interior design drawings, including floor plans, sections, elevations, joinery details, and M&E/shop drawings.
• Prepare accurate Bill of Quantities (BQ) and comprehensive Scope of Works (SOW) based on project drawings and specifications.
• Review drawings and specifications carefully to identify discrepancies, omissions, or potential site constraints before work begins.
• Ensure project costs, materials, measurements, and specifications are accurately aligned with the approved drawings.
• Coordinate documentation and ensure the relevant information is communicated clearly to the site team.

Site & Subcontractor Management

• Coordinate and supervise on-site renovation works and subcontractors.
• Ensure workmanship, materials, and installation are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Plan and coordinate work schedules to ensure projects progress smoothly and are completed within the agreed timeline.
• Monitor site progress and proactively identify potential delays, defects, or coordination issues.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, designers, and other project stakeholders to resolve site issues efficiently.
• Act as a mediator between clients and contractors when conflicts or unexpected site issues arise.

Requirements & Personal Attributes

Technical & Industry Knowledge

• Strong ability to read and interpret technical and interior design drawings.
• Good understanding of renovation processes, construction methods, materials, and site coordination.
• Ability to identify potential site constraints and discrepancies before they become major issues.
• Experience preparing or working with BQ, SOW, quotations, and project documentation is an advantage.

• Proactive and resourceful in identifying potential project risks.
• Able to think on your feet and implement practical solutions when unexpected site issues arise.
• Strong attention to detail and a hands-on approach to project coordination.

Experience

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in interior design, renovation, construction, or project coordination is preferred.
• Candidates with stronger relevant experience may be considered for a Project Manager position.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other design/construction software is an advantage.
