Project Manager

You'll be leading from the front, spearheading projects across major earthworks, civil infrastructure & construction projects from planning through to completion. Managing scope, budgets and programs while leading site teams, subcontractors and day to day delivery across Central Otago.

Role:

Is for an experienced Project Manager with proven industry experience, looking for a role with an industry leader in the civil, construction, and land development space. With a huge increasing forward workload, you'll have the flexibility to showcase your past experience, whilst managing a number of projects in and around the wider Otago region. You'll work alongside a manager with years of hands-on experience and a strong track record in the civil industry. They are a growing presence in Central with a large backing and some impressive projects in the pipeline. This role will be Queenstown based, yet will complete projects all through Central Otago. 

The right candidate will be comfortable managing scopes, budgets and programs across a diverse range of Central Otago projects, while leading site teams, subcontractors and day to day delivery. You’ll keep on top of resources, risk, and project targets. Ensuring everything is delivered safely, on time and within budget. You’ll also liaise with clients and stakeholders, track progress and variations, and keep the site team moving in the right direction.

What we're looking for:  

• Engineering qualification (BE, NZCE Civil, Diploma)
• At least 3 + years construction project management experience
• Experience in developing work plans & programs, methods, H&S and environmental documentation
• Strong negotiation, finance & budgeting skills
• Fantastic communication and organisation skills
• Adaptable team player committed to safety, delivery targets and contributing to a positive culture
