Salary:-

Job Title: Project Manager – Pressure Vessel Fabrication

Job Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for supporting the execution of pressure vessel fabrication projects from engineering handover to final delivery. The role involves coordination between engineering, procurement, production, QA/QC, and client/third-party inspectors to ensure projects are completed within schedule, budget, and quality requirements in compliance with applicable codes and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution & Coordination

• Support Project Manager in execution of pressure vessel projects as per contract scope.
• Review client documents such as P&ID, GA drawings, datasheets, specifications, PMS and ITP.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Production, QA/QC).
• Prepare project execution plans, schedules, and work priorities.
• Track project progress and report status to Project Manager.

2. Engineering & Documentation

• Review and follow up on fabrication drawings, BOM, MTO, and weld maps.

• Assist in preparation and submission of:

• VDRL

• ITP

• Welding procedures (WPS/PQR)

• MDR / Dossier

• Deviations and technical queries (TQ)

• Coordinate engineering clarifications with client and third-party agencies (TPI).

3. Procurement & Material Control

• Support procurement for material requisitions and technical evaluations.
• Ensure materials are received as per MTC, PMI, HIC/SSC/Impact test requirements.
• Monitor material traceability and identification during fabrication.
• Coordinate with stores and QA/QC for material release.

4. Fabrication & Production Support

• Monitor shop fabrication activities such as:

• Plate rolling and forming

• Shell & head fabrication

• Welding, PWHT, and machining

• Nozzle fit-up and internals

• Resolve production issues in coordination with engineering and QA/QC.

• Ensure adherence to approved drawings and procedures.

5. Quality & Inspection

• Coordinate inspections with TPI / Client / Authorized Inspector (AI).
• Ensure NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT) are carried out as per ITP.
• Support hydro test, pneumatic test, dimensional inspection, and final inspection.
• Ensure closure of NCRs and punch points.

6. Planning & Reporting

• Prepare and update fabrication schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Monitor milestones and highlight delays or risks.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Support invoicing and milestone billing activities.

Required Skills & Competencies

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge of Pressure Vessel fabrication processes.
• Familiar with ASME Sec VIII, API 650/620.
• Understanding of welding, NDT, PWHT, and material standards.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.

Software Skills

• MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Basic knowledge of Primavera / MS Project (preferred)
• AutoCAD / Draft reading (basic)

Experience Requirements

• 12+ years experience in pressure vessel fabrication industry and 4 years as Manager position.
• Experience in Oil & Gas / EPC projects preferred.
• Exposure to client inspections (ADNOC) is an advantage.
