About the Role
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing Brisbane-based construction company delivering a diverse range of commercial, industrial, infrastructure and refurbishment projects.
This is a hands-on environment with minimal hierarchy. You’ll work directly with the Directors, take genuine ownership of your projects and be trusted to make decisions without unnecessary micromanagement.
The business is continuing to grow and is looking for someone who wants to be part of that journey long term, someone who is accountable, practical and comfortable rolling their sleeves up when required.
Projects typically range from approximately $1.5m to $20m and include industrial and mining infrastructure, hospital refurbishments, wastewater upgrades, correctional facilities, commercial refurbishments and specialist building works.
A large portion of the work is delivered within live or operational environments, so strong planning, stakeholder management, services coordination and project delivery skills are important.
What’s On Offer
- Work directly with active experienced Directors
- Salary package up to $220k plus Super plus car/allowance
- Genuine autonomy with no unnecessary layers of management
- Diverse and technically interesting project portfolio
- Strong pipeline of secured and upcoming projects
- Opportunity to influence systems, processes and the future direction of the business
- Long-term leadership and career progression as the company grows
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects from planning through to completion and handover
- Oversee programme, budget, procurement, quality and project performance
- Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, site teams and key stakeholders
- Manage client relationships throughout project delivery
- Identify project risks early and drive practical solutions
- Work closely with the Directors across project delivery and business improvement
What You’ll Bring
- Experience as a Project Manager within commercial, industrial or infrastructure construction
- Strong understanding of construction methodology and project delivery
- Proven ability to manage budgets, programmes and subcontractors
- Confidence managing consultants, clients and stakeholders
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- A practical, hands-on and accountable approach
- Relevant Construction Management, Engineering, Building or trade qualifications highly regarded
This role will suit someone looking to move away from a heavily structured builder and into an environment where they can have more ownership, more influence and a closer connection to the projects they deliver.
