Project Manager

PROJECT MANAGER – ICI / INSTITUTIONAL CONSTRUCTION Greater Toronto Area, ON $130,000 – $160,000 + Benefits | Full-Time Our client, an established General Contractor and Construction Management firm, is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its growing construction team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background managing institutional and commercial construction projects and will be capable of taking projects from preconstruction and procurement through construction, closeout and turnover.

Responsibilities

• Manage ICI construction projects from preconstruction through completion
• Develop and maintain budgets, schedules, procurement plans and cost forecasts
• Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, architects, engineers and clients
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, contracts and project documentation
• Lead subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, negotiations and buyout
• Monitor project costs, schedules, risks and overall progress
• Lead project meetings and provide regular reporting to senior management and clients
• Work closely with site teams to resolve construction issues
• Oversee project closeout, deficiencies, commissioning and turnover

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience within ICI construction
• Strong institutional construction experience
• Experience with projects such as municipal facilities, schools, healthcare, recreation/community facilities, government or other public-sector construction
• General Contractor or Construction Management experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, drawings, specifications, procurement, scheduling and cost control
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Construction Management, Engineering or related education is an asset
