ECM Project Manager

6-month contract (extensions likely)

Remote; occasional on-site in France possible but not the default.

Fluent French required

Our international client is seeking an ECM Project Manager to lead delivery of enterprise content management work across a 6-month engagement, with a strong likelihood of extension. The role is remote, with a preference for candidates based in France (or able to work comfortably in Central European time and with French-speaking stakeholders).

Skills needed;

• Proven Project Manager on ECM / document management / records management programmes (not generic PMO-only).
• Hands-on familiarity with one or more ECM platforms (e.g. OpenText, Documentum, Alfresco, IBM FileNet, SharePoint as ECM, Box, or equivalent).
• Content migration and large-repository delivery experience.
• Stakeholder management across business, IT, records/compliance, and vendors.
• Strong RAID, planning, and structured reporting.
• Comfortable in Agile, waterfall, or hybrid delivery depending on the workstream.
• Fluent French (spoken and written) — mandatory for stakeholder and documentation work.
• Professional English for project artefacts and vendor coordination.
• Remote delivery discipline: clear written updates, structured calls, and ownership without on-site presence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years project management, including several years on ECM or adjacent content/information platforms.
• Prince2, PMP, and/or Agile PM certification advantageous.
• Degree in Information Systems, Business, Records/Information Management, or equivalent experience.
• Based in France or another EU location compatible with remote work for a France-centred stakeholder group (ideal).
