Project Manager

We are seeking an organized, proactive Solar & Construction Project Manager to oversee residential and commercial solar, electrical, and construction projects from initial planning through project completion.

The Project Manager will be responsible for keeping projects moving efficiently while coordinating with customers, designers, engineers, permitting departments, utility companies, installers, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage residential and commercial solar, electrical, and construction projects from start to completion
• Track project timelines, milestones, outstanding items, budgets, and deadlines
• Coordinate site surveys, engineering/design, permitting, material procurement, scheduling, installation/construction, and inspections
• Manage solar projects through utility interconnection and Permission to Operate (PTO)
• Submit and follow up on utility and interconnection applications
• Communicate with AHJs, building departments, and utility companies regarding requirements and corrections
• Coordinate with designers, engineers, electricians, installers, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors
• Coordinate construction schedules and ensure different trades are properly scheduled
• Provide customers with regular project updates and respond to project-related questions
• Identify delays, change orders, scheduling conflicts, or other project issues and proactively work toward solutions
• Review project documentation, plans, contracts, and other required paperwork for completeness and accuracy
• Maintain organized project records, schedules, and status updates
• Coordinate internally with sales and operations to ensure a smooth transition from contract to completed project

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous solar, electrical, construction, or project management experience preferred
• California construction and/or solar experience is a strong plus
• Familiarity with permitting, inspections, plan review, and construction scheduling preferred
• Familiarity with solar permitting, utility interconnection, inspections, and PTO is a plus
• Experience working with utilities such as SCE, LADWP, SDG&E, and PG&E is a plus
• Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field crews
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong follow-up skills and attention to detail
• Able to communicate professionally with homeowners, businesses, contractors, utilities, and government agencies
• Comfortable learning new software and project management systems

We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their projects. The ideal candidate does not simply wait for the next task — they actively follow up, identify what is holding a project back, coordinate with the appropriate parties, solve problems, and keep projects moving toward completion.

Our projects may include solar, battery storage, electrical work, and other residential or commercial construction projects, so we are looking for someone who is adaptable and interested in growing with the company.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
