The role will serve as a key interface between overseas customers, overseas internal teams, and local cross-functional functions, driving effective communication, project execution, risk management, and timely resolution of technical and operational issues.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage semiconductor equipment customer projects from project initiation, NPI, qualification, production launch, and transition to mass production or ongoing production support.
  2. Act as the key project interface for overseas customers and overseas internal teams, ensuring effective communication, alignment of expectations, and timely follow-up on project requirements and commitments.
  3. Review customer requirements, drawings, technical specifications, project schedules, quality requirements, and other project documentation and communicate requirements clearly to relevant internal functions.
  4. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, resource requirements, and action trackers to ensure projects are completed according to agreed timelines.
  5. Lead cross-functional project teams including Engineering, NPI, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, Procurement, Materials, Production, Planning, Logistics, and other supporting functions.
  6. Coordinate NPI activities, including product and process readiness, BOM readiness, material availability, tooling and equipment readiness, engineering validation, qualification, and production ramp-up.
  7. Monitor project progress against agreed milestones and proactively identify schedule gaps, technical issues, resource constraints, material risks, and other potential project delays.
  8. Drive project risk assessment, mitigation planning, escalation, and timely closure of critical project issues.
  9. Coordinate Engineering Changes, customer change requests, drawing revisions, BOM changes, specification changes, and other project changes to ensure proper implementation and impact assessment.
  10. Manage project meetings with customers and internal teams, prepare project status reports, and clearly communicate project progress, risks, issues, recovery plans, and required decisions.
  11. Coordinate customer sample builds, prototype builds, pilot runs, qualification activities, production readiness reviews, and other project-related deliverables.
  12. Work closely with Supply Chain and Materials teams to ensure material readiness and identify risks related to long-lead-time components, supplier capacity, shortages, and delivery schedules.
  13. Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams to ensure manufacturing capacity, manpower, equipment, processes, and documentation are ready according to the project ramp-up plan.
  14. Monitor project performance in terms of schedule, quality, delivery, cost, and customer requirements and initiate corrective or recovery actions when performance deviates from plan.
  15. Support project costing, cost improvement, productivity improvement, and other initiatives to achieve project and business objectives.
  16. Facilitate timely resolution of technical, quality, delivery, and operational issues involving customers, overseas internal teams, suppliers, and local cross-functional teams.
  17. Maintain accurate project documentation, action lists, schedules, risk registers, change records, and project performance reports.
  18. Drive continuous improvement and lessons-learned activities to improve project execution, NPI effectiveness, operational readiness, and customer satisfaction.
