As our project workload continues to grow across the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions, we're looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team at TEG Projects.
This is an opportunity to work on a diverse range of capital projects within New Zealand's food, beverage and process manufacturing industries, leading projects from concept through to installation and handover.
TEG Projects is a 100% New Zealand-owned project management and engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for practical delivery, long-term client relationships and quality outcomes. We work closely with our specialist risk and safety engineering partners at TEG Risk, providing integrated project and risk solutions for clients throughout New Zealand
The Role
Based in the Bay of Plenty, you will manage projects within operational manufacturing environments while working closely with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal engineering teams.
While the role is primarily focused on Bay of Plenty projects, there may also be opportunities to support work throughout the Waikato region as client and business needs evolve.
This position will suit someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of outcomes and can confidently manage multiple stakeholders while delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage projects through the full project lifecycle, from concept and planning through to installation and handover.
- Act as the key point of contact for clients throughout project delivery.
- Develop and manage project schedules, budgets and reporting.
- Coordinate contractors, suppliers and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project risks and implement practical solutions to keep projects on track.
- Ensure compliance with site safety, quality and operational requirements.
- Facilitate communication between client, engineering, operations and maintenance teams.
- Work collaboratively with TEG Risk specialists to integrate safety and risk management into project delivery.
About You
- Proven experience delivering projects within food, beverage, dairy, manufacturing or industrial processing environments.
- Engineering, technical or trade background preferred.
- Experience managing brownfield or capital projects within operating facilities.
- Understanding of project planning, estimating, budgeting and cost control.
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.
- Practical, solutions-focused approach to project delivery.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to travel throughout the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions as required.
Why Join TEG Projects?
- Work on challenging and rewarding projects for some of New Zealand's leading manufacturers.
- Join a well-established, New Zealand-owned consultancy with a strong industry reputation.
- Enjoy flexibility, autonomy and genuine variety in your work.
- Work alongside experienced project managers, engineers and risk specialists.
- Be part of a team that values practical thinking, collaboration and strong client relationships.
- Further develop your project management career across a diverse range of industries and clients.
