The role will be based in Cromwell, offering an enviable Central Otago lifestyle. With minimal traffic, ski fields, mountain biking, hunting and fishing all within easy reach, and a welcoming family-friendly community, you'll enjoy the kind of work-life balance that's becoming increasingly rare. As both our business and the region continue to grow, you'll have the opportunity to play a key role in helping build something truly special.

NES Central Ltd is a leading provider of electrical distribution services in the Otago/Central Otago regions and has been serving local communities for over 20 years.

Reporting to the General Manager, this critical role will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of electrical distribution and infrastructure projects.

What you will be doing:

·        Identifying and managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

·        Coordinating internal resources, subcontractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders.

·        Building and maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.

·        Ensuring project documentation, reporting, and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.

·        Working closely with operational teams to support the delivery of network and infrastructure projects.

·        Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.

Ideally, you will be someone who has:

·        A relevant qualification in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

·        Proven experience in a Project Management role, preferably within the electrical distribution, utilities, construction, or infrastructure sectors. (Training available to become fully qualified).

·        Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams.

·        Demonstrated experience delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

·        Excellent planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

·        Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

·        Sound commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and contract administration.

·        A strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental management practices.

·        NZ residency or hold a valid NZ work visa

What we offer:

·        Competitive remuneration package.

·        Professional development and ongoing training opportunities.

·        Generous leave entitlements and flexible work arrangements.

·        Subsidised health insurance.

·        Work-life balance to enjoy the Central Otago lifestyle.

·        Opportunity to work on meaningful infrastructure projects.
