Position Overview

At 3C Industries, our Project Managers are at the center of some of the most complex work happening in active data center environments. We deliver 2nd day work ranging from facility buildouts and infrastructure upgrades to customer offices and PEMB structures, all while working within live facilities where coordination, communication, and attention to detail matter every day.

The Project Manager leads the project from preconstruction through closeout, bringing together field teams, trade partners, clients, and internal stakeholders to keep the work moving. This includes managing budgets and schedules, coordinating day-to-day execution, maintaining strong client relationships, and making sure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands the pace and demands of mission-critical construction.

The right person can navigate changing priorities, tight schedules, and active customer operations while keeping the team aligned and focused on getting the job done right.

This role is located in Kansas City, MO.

  • Manage Project Teams: Build and lead high-performing teams by setting clear expectations, providing regular coaching, and conducting performance reviews. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain Client Relationships: Act as the client’s trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and maintain strong relationships through proactive communication, transparency, and a commitment to quality.
  • Control Project Budget & Forecasting: Oversee project budgets, monitor cost reports, and implement corrective actions as needed. Lead the monthly Pay Application process and ensure timely payments in coordination with finance.
  • Coordinate Scheduling & Logistics: Develop, update, and manage the master project schedule. Identify critical path activities and coordinate labor, materials, and subcontractors to ensure schedule adherence.
  • Enforce Safety & Quality Standards: Promote and enforce job site safety in accordance with company and regulatory standards. Oversee quality control processes to ensure work meets design intent and project specifications.
  • Lead Risk & Contract Management: Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies. Support contract negotiations, scope reviews, and subcontractor buyout in alignment with project goals.
  • Support Field Engineering & Technical Processes: Provide guidance on construction methods, technical challenges, and field engineering needs. Ensure project documentation and shop drawings are reviewed and approved as needed.
  • Champion Innovation & Technology: Promote the use of new technologies, sustainable practices, and process improvements to maintain 3CI’s competitive advantage and drive operational efficiency.
  • Represent 3CI in the Community: Support company outreach and engagement initiatives to strengthen community relationships and enhance the company’s public presence .
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in project management within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes including estimating, scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and quality assurance.
  • Familiarity with PEMB structural systems, including coordination with manufacturers and managing onsite assembly, is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and advanced presentation skills.
