Project Manager

About the role

Lai Yew Seng Pte. Ltd. is an established Singapore company in steel fabrication and construction. We design, fabricate, and install bollards, railings, gates, and other steel products for projects across Singapore. We are looking for a Project Manager to lead our projects from award to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage projects from award to handover. Scope, schedule, budget, and quality
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors
• Review drawings and specifications, and coordinate shop drawings and submissions for approval
• Plan fabrication and installation schedules with the workshop and site teams
• Supervise site supervisors and installation teams, and monitor progress on site
• Make sure work complies with WSH requirements and BCA standards
• Manage project costs, variations, and progress claims
• Attend site coordination meetings and prepare progress reports for management
• Support tendering. Quantity take-off, costing, and preparing quotations

About you

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; Diploma holders with relevant experience are welcome to apply
• At least 2–3 years of project management experience in construction; steel fabrication or metal works experience is a strong plus
• Able to read and interpret engineering and shop drawings
• Familiar with Singapore WSH and BCA requirements
• Good communication and coordination skills with clients, consultants, and site teams
• Organised, able to manage several projects and deadlines at once
• Competent in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD or project scheduling software is an advantage
• Valid Class 3 driving licence is an advantage
