Project Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Lead the project from kick-off through execution, monitoring, commissioning and handover.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones and action trackers.
• Coordinate Engineering, Procurement, Vendors, Logistics, Site/Execution and other stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Conduct project kick-off, progress review, budget and project evaluation meetings.
• Identify and resolve priorities, bottlenecks, dependencies and critical path issues.
• Monitor material readiness, vendor deliverables, documentation and logistics in coordination with FM.
• Ensure complete and accurate project documentation and timely handover to After-Sales/Service.
• Escalate critical issues and support timely management decisions.

2. Contract & Commercial Management

• Monitor project execution against contractual terms, scope and commercial commitments.
• Track contractual milestones, invoicing and payment collection in coordination with Finance.
• Coordinate Performance Bank Guarantees and other contractual requirements with relevant FM functions.
• Monitor contract deviations, variations and claims and coordinate amendments/addendums with Sales, Legal and other stakeholders.
• Review and approve vendor/subcontractor retention payments in line with contractual and performance requirements.

3. Risk Management

• Identify, assess and proactively manage project, commercial, technical and execution risks.
• Maintain appropriate risk mitigation and contingency actions throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure timely escalation and resolution of critical risks and issues.
• Promote transparent communication and early identification of concerns across stakeholders.

4. Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the single point of contact for the customer during project execution.
• Build strong customer relationships through proactive, transparent and solution-oriented communication.
• Understand customer requirements, identify concerns and resolve conflicts effectively.
• Represent the customer's requirements internally while protecting ForbesVyncke's contractual and commercial interests.
• Keep management appropriately informed of project progress, risks, issues and key decisions.

5. Budget & Project Administration

• Monitor project costs and regularly update the estimated project budget in coordination with FM Costing/Finance.
• Track Engineering, Procurement and other project costs against approved budgets.
• Identify potential cost overruns and initiate corrective actions in consultation with management.
• Ensure timely and accurate project reporting and administration.

6. Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with applicable Health & Safety legislation, customer requirements and VYNCKE/FV standards.
• Coordinate H&S requirements between the customer, project team, site team and designated safety personnel.
• Support investigation and closure of incidents, where required.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout project execution.

Preferred candidate profile

**Experience-**More than 5 years as project manager in industrial projects / CHP Projects.

**Technical-**MS environment / ERP

Preferably knowledge of MS Projects

Preferably PMP certified
