Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - IT Operations & Technology to be deployed at our client location in Tokyo, Japan. The selected candidate will serve as the primary liaison between the client's IT teams and India-based technical and functional teams, ensuring seamless IT operations, service delivery, project execution, and stakeholder management**.**

This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, project management capabilities, service management experience, leadership skills, and customer-facing engagement.

Key Responsibilities

IT Landscape Assessment

• Understand and document the client's IT infrastructure landscape, including servers, networks, cloud, applications, databases, endpoint devices, and cybersecurity environment.
• Analyze business processes, technology dependencies, and critical applications.
• Identify operational, security, and service management gaps.
• Recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and IT governance.

IT Operations & Service Management

• Act as the on-site coordinator for day-to-day IT operations and service delivery.
• Ensure availability, stability, and performance of IT infrastructure and business-critical applications.
• Coordinate Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request Management.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring issues.
• Maintain operational documentation, escalation procedures, and service reporting.

Project & Governance Management

• Lead infrastructure and technology projects from initiation to implementation.
• Prepare project plans, timelines, milestones, risk registers, and status reports.
• Monitor project deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issue resolution.
• Conduct governance reviews and stakeholder meetings.

Infrastructure & Cybersecurity Coordination

• Coordinate with Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, Database, Application, and Security teams.
• Support vulnerability remediation, patch management, identity & access management, and security incident management.
• Ensure adherence to cybersecurity and compliance standards.

Team Management & Capability Building

• Assess support requirements and define team structures.
• Build and manage multidisciplinary IT support teams.
• Identify skill gaps and recommend training initiatives.
• Collaborate with offshore teams for efficient service delivery.

Client Relationship Management

• Build strong relationships with client IT and business stakeholders.
• Gather requirements and translate business needs into actionable technical plans.
• Present service reviews, project updates, and governance reports.
