Project Manager

Steele’s Executive Search Group has a new active recruiting project. The positions are open due to increased projects for a steel fabrication and structural steel erection construction corporation. The company’s growth and expansion is from the southeastern to southwestern states. This company is not a conventional steel fabricator because of its vertical integration. The company describes capabilities spanning design/engineering, detailing/BIM, fabrication, logistics, transportation and field erection

I am recruiting candidates for two positions as follows:

(A.) Sr Project Manager -10+ years of project management experience

• Base Salary Range: $115,428 - $162,881
• Experience: in Steel Fabrication to lead complex infrastructure projects from inception to completion. Manage large, complex, or high-value projects with significant fabrication and field scope
• Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and scope to ensure full understanding of project requirements
• Work closely with Purchasing to ensure timely procurement of steel, materials, and subcontracted services
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Coordinate detailing, shop drawings, and approvals to maintain production schedules

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred but not required
• 10+ years of project management experience in structural steel fabrication, miscellaneous metals, construction, or industrial contracting
• Strong knowledge of steel fabrication, erection, and construction project workflows
• Experience managing large, multi-phase, or high-value projects
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong financial and cost management skills
• Experience working with general contractors, fabricators, and subcontractors

(B.) Project Manager

• Experience 2-5 yrs This role serves as a key link between estimating, purchasing, production, field operations, and customers\\

1. Base Salary Range: $85K-$120K

This role serves as a key link between estimating, purchasing, production, field operations, and customers. A successful Project Manager is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. The ideal candidate has experience in steel fabrication, construction, or industrial project management and is capable of balancing technical, operational, and client-facing responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manage structural and miscellaneous steel projects from contract award through final completion

· Review contracts, drawings, specifications, and scope to ensure full understanding of project requirements

· Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with fabrication, purchasing, and field teams

· Coordinate with Estimating to ensure proper handoff of awarded projects

· Work closely with Purchasing to ensure timely procurement of materials, subcontracted services, and equipment

· Monitor project budgets, costs, and labor hours to maintain profitability targets

· Track and manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation

· Serve as primary point of contact for customers, general contractors, engineers, and vendors

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred but not required

· 2+ years of project management experience in steel fabrication, construction, metal manufacturing, or industrial environments

· Strong understanding of structural steel, miscellaneous metals, or construction project workflows

· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications

· Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
