Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented person to join our team as Project Coordinator / Trainee Project Manager. Full training will be provided — prior direct project management experience is not essential.

In this role, you will support the coordination and management of construction projects from conception through completion. Working alongside our experienced team, you will help oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring all aspects meet quality standards, safety regulations, and client expectations. This is an excellent opportunity to build your career within our organisation and grow into full project management responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organise, and support construction projects from start to completion under professional guidance

  • Assist in developing project schedules, budgets, and resource plans

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers

- Monitor project progress and help ensure milestones are achieved

  • Support project cost management and budget control processes

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations

- Review project documentation, drawings, and specifications alongside senior team members

- Assist in identifying project risks and following agreed mitigation strategies

- Help obtain necessary permits and maintain regulatory compliance

- Attend site activities and assist in resolving construction issues

- Support project teams, helping assign tasks and track progress

- Prepare site meeting minutes and progress reports for stakeholders

- Assist with procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services

- Ensure work follows contractual requirements and industry standards

- Support contract administration, variations, and claims processing

- Maintain clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders

- Help resolve day-to-day matters and escalate where appropriate

- Monitor quality assurance and quality control processes

  • Assist with timely project handover, documentation, and close-out

- Oversee site activities to ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and quality control procedures

- Track project budgets, monitor costs, and identify efficiency opportunities without compromising quality

- Conduct regular site inspections alongside senior staff to monitor progress and resolve issues promptly

- Apply effective time management to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and keep projects on track

Requirements

  • Business graduate with solid organisational and administrative experience gained within the construction industry

- Strong attention to detail and proven ability to manage tasks effectively

- Excellent organisational skills with a focus on time management and timely delivery

- Clear communication skills — confident engaging with teams, clients, and suppliers

- Working knowledge of construction site safety standards and relevant regulations from industry exposure

- Motivated, reliable, and eager to develop new skills and take on growing responsibility

- Committed to learning and following our project management systems and procedures

- Full training will be provided — we value potential, attitude, and a willingness to learn as much as experience
