Project Manager

We’re recruiting a Project Manager for an established engineering business delivering fabrication and site-construction projects. This is a hands-on role for someone who can keep customers, the workshop, suppliers and site teams working to the same plan.

You’ll take ownership of projects from handover through to completion, with responsibility for programme, cost, quality, safety and client communication.
The role

• Plan and deliver engineering, fabrication and installation projects.
• Coordinate workshop work, site activities, materials and subcontractors.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
• Track budgets, margins, variations and delivery milestones.
• Manage procurement, project documentation and quality requirements.
• Keep customers and internal teams informed as work progresses.
• Identify delivery risks and work through practical solutions.
• Support estimates and tenders where needed.

About you You’ll have project-delivery experience in engineering, fabrication, mechanical contracting, industrial construction or a similar field. You’ll be comfortable working directly with customers and operational teams, understand both workshop and site requirements, and know how to manage costs and variations.

Strong organisation, clear communication and a practical approach to solving problems will matter here. Experience with estimating or job-management systems would be useful, but isn’t essential.
