About the role

The Construction and Maintenance Engineer handles the building phase and the ongoing upkeep of the stations. The role blends civil, mechanical, electrical, and safety engineering. Conduct site inspections and assessment to ensure all projects are completed on time, within budget and complies to company standards. Ensures all projects and existing facilities complies to the national building code, fire safety code, electrical code, and environmental codes. Prepare accomplishment reports and assessment reports to management and regulatory agencies. Manage the contractors and maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the design, construction, and renovation of fuel refilling stations
• Plan, supervise, and control engineering activities throughout all project phases, from design to commissioning
• Prepare bill of quantities, bill of materials, and manpower requirements
• Utilize advanced engineering software and perform technical reviews to ensure compliance with regulations and project requirements
• Assess potential risks and impacts on the environment during project development
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define project objectives and deliverables
• Manage the contractors and maintenance teams

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in retail gas station and construction project management
• Strong portfolio demonstrating retail construction methods, detailing, and materials
• Strong project management and coordination skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience with multi-site retail rollouts
• Familiarity with construction management for mall fit-out requirements and permit processes
• Preferably with COSH training and certification
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, project management, and the specific challenges faced in the oil and gas industry
