About Role
One of our clients, a leading communications company, is looking for a Project Manager to lead complex technical and engineering projects involving physical products, hardware, software, electronics and systems integration. You will manage the full project lifecycle, act as the main point of contact with the client and coordinate internal teams, suppliers and external partners. The role requires someone comfortable balancing customer expectations, timelines, costs and delivery requirements while keeping complex projects moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact with the client throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyse project scope, timelines and costs in detail.
- Develop and implement the project management plan.
- Identify, assess and manage risks, maintaining a risk mitigation plan.
- Coordinate internal and external resources, including subcontractors.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budget.
- Regularly report on status and advise senior management around major decisions and options to mitigate impact
- Ensure deadlines are met, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
- Implement quality management practices to ensure high-standard delivery.
Requirements
- Ideally 2-3+ years of experience in a Project Management role, managing complex technical or engineering projects.
- Proven experience managing projects involving physical products, hardware or complex engineered systems - not solely software projects.
- Experience managing the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, integration, testing, deployment, go-live, warranty and support.
- Good understanding of systems integration across hardware, software, electronics, suppliers, testing and operational environments.
- Commercial and customer-focused mindset, able to balance client expectations with technical, operational and delivery requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with a practical, hands-on approach to resolving issues and keeping complex projects moving.
- A natural relationship-builder and facilitator who can work effectively with people at every level, building trust and alignment through collaboration rather than authority.
