Project Manager

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead the project team, define responsibilities and performance expectations, coordinate project mobilization, execution planning and construction across disciplines, resolve site issues, and coordinate with HR on workforce and employee matters.
• Manage approved schedules with Planning, monitor progress, productivity and resources, resolve constraints, and implement approved recovery actions to meet contractual milestones.
• Control costs and overheads against approved budgets, monitor commitments and forecasts, and coordinate payment applications, cash flow, collections and variances with Finance and Accounting and commercial teams.
• Coordinate procurement and subcontracting with Procurement and Contracts; confirm requirements, monitor deliveries and subcontractor performance, and verify progress and payment recommendations within approved authority.
• Lead health, safety and environmental performance; ensure risk controls, safe working methods and emergency readiness, stop unsafe work, and oversee incident response and corrective actions.
• Ensure construction meets approved drawings, specifications, quality plans and applicable requirements. Coordinate submissions, inspections, testing and approvals, maintain current construction information, and resolve defects and nonconformities.
• Control scope changes, ensure timely contractual notices and records, and coordinate variations, delay analysis and extension-of-time submissions with Planning and Contracts. Obtain approvals before commitments or settlements.
• Lead client and consultant meetings, maintain risk records, resolve concerns, and report progress, costs, safety and quality to the Projects Director, escalating significant risks and decisions.
• Manage testing, commissioning, handover and defect rectification. Ensure submission of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties and completion records, and coordinate demobilization, asset returns and financial closeout.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Key Job Specification:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
