Senior IT Project Manager – Fully Remote

Location: Fully Remote

Employment Type: Contract – long-term, rolling contract

Pay Rate: $45–$48/hr

Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST

Start: October 2026

Medasource is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to support a portfolio of high-profile technology initiatives within the healthcare/public health space. This individual will lead multiple concurrent projects, oversee cross-functional teams, and manage initiatives throughout the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead 5+ concurrent, complex technology projects across the full SDLC
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and deliverables
• Lead cross-functional project teams and coordinate with technical and business stakeholders
• Facilitate project meetings and communicate project status to leadership
• Partner closely with Business Analysts and review requirements/documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Provide guidance and direction to project team members throughout the project lifecycle
• Support both new technology implementations and ongoing system operations

Required Qualifications

• Active PMP certification – REQUIRED
• 10+ years of IT experience with significant Project Management experience
• Experience leading large-scale, complex technology/application projects
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of SDLC
• Strong experience with project planning, risk/issue management, timelines, requirements, and stakeholder management
• Experience working closely with Business Analysts and reviewing requirements/documentation
• Ability to independently lead projects and cross-functional teams

Preferred Experience

• Healthcare or public health technology
• State, federal, or other government IT environments
• Health & Human Services, Medicaid, SNAP, eligibility, or benefits systems
• Design, Development & Implementation (DDI)
• Maintenance & Operations (M&O)
• Maternal/child health, newborn screening, infectious disease, or disease-tracking systems

The ideal candidate is a seasoned Project Manager who can step into a complex environment, independently lead multiple initiatives, and bring enough technical and functional knowledge to understand requirements and provide direction to the project team.
