Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Location: Orange County, CA | Southern California

A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their Southern California team. This is a great opportunity for a proven construction professional with a strong background managing complex ground-up and tenant improvement projects .

The ideal candidate will have experience with education, public works, large office buildings, commercial developments, and TI projects , with the ability to take projects from preconstruction through completion.

What You’ll Do

• Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement, and overall financial performance
• Oversee ground-up construction, renovations, and tenant improvement projects
• Work closely with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, project documentation, and schedules
• Identify and resolve project issues while maintaining schedule and budget
• Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships
• Partner with Superintendents and field teams to ensure quality, safety, and successful project execution
• Mentor and provide leadership to Project Engineers, APMs, and Project Managers

What We’re Looking For

• 8+ years of commercial construction experience
• Proven experience as a Project Manager on commercial projects
• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, budgets, and project financials
• Excellent communication and client-management skills
• Ability to lead multiple project stakeholders and maintain accountability across the project team
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• Strong computer and project management software skills
