Project Manager - Excavation & Site Work

Toprak Excavation is a growing site work company serving the Lake Anna, Fredericksburg, and Charlottesville markets. We're looking for a Project Manager to keep our jobs moving, our crews productive, and our clients happy. This is a hands-on role for someone who's comfortable on a job site, can read a set of plans, and enjoys working with people.

What you'll do

• Plan and schedule daily work so our operators and equipment stay busy and productive
• Read and interpret site plans, drawings, and project specs, and translate them into clear direction for the crew
• Meet with clients, builders, and contractors at job sites to walk the work, answer questions, and scope new projects
• Be the main point of contact for clients from kickoff to completion
• Coordinate material deliveries, subs, and equipment needs
• Track progress, flag problems early, and keep jobs on schedule and on budget
• Work closely with ownership on estimates, bids, and job documentation

What we're looking for

• Experience in excavation, site work, civil, or heavy construction
• Ability to read plans and understand grading, drainage, and road base work
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional presence, since you'll be the face of the company with clients
• Self-starter who stays organized and can manage multiple jobs at once
• Comfortable using basic software (Google Workspace, QuickBooks, or job management tools like Jobber)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Able to work outdoors and spend time on active job sites

Nice to have

• Experience running or supervising heavy equipment crews
• Estimating or bidding experience
• Familiarity with Virginia erosion and sediment control requirements
• Relevant licensing or certifications

Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
